Game FAQs

What is the Holden NRL Dream Team Draft fantasy game? A: The Holden NRL Dream Team Draft is a Draft Style League competition, where you take part in a league against your mates (or other random entrants), selecting a unique team against your fellow League competitors through a Draft - just like the real competition. No salary caps apply in the Holden NRL Dream Team Draft.

Each league will have its own unique 2013 NRL player draft. On registration, you'll need to select and order a list of your most preferred NRL players in the Pre Draft.

Once you have a full league, you will take part in a nail-biting Live Draft, where you take turns and pick players, on your way to selecting a squad to take on your League. Each player is available once only in your league.

Setting up a new Draft League

  • Your first step to playing Holden NRL Dream Team Draft your way is to setup your Draft League!
  • You can use the "Quick Start" feature to create a Private or Public League based on Holden NRL Dream Team Draft's recommended options. Simply name your league and select whether you would like to make it Private or Public.
  • If you prefer to simply join an existing league, click on the "Join/Find a League" tab to browse through currently available leagues and their settings. As long as there are spaces available, you can join any advertised Public league on the site.
  • If you were invited to join a league, follow the link from the invitation email, or enter the 6 digit League code to join that league.

League and season length settings

  • Set the name of your league and make it Private or Public. In a Private League, you'll be the League Commissioner and you'll need to invite the people you wish to play with to your league. A Public League will be advertised on the site and open for anyone to join. You may also invite others, until the league is filled up.
  • Select the number of users and the size of your league. You can have from 6 to 12 teams per league.
  • Set whether you'd like to play head-to-head, or based on total points only. If the league has at least 8 teams, you may select to play in a Top 8 Finals Series over four rounds at the completion of your League's regular season. Then, simply choose how many times you'd like your fixture to repeat (and therefore your season length), and the round that you'd like to start playing!

Player Draft Setup

  • Here, you select the type of Draft that you'd like your League to take part in. In a standard Live Draft, each member takes part on their own PC, selecting a player turn-by-turn. Play luck-of-the-lottery, set your preferred player order with the Pre-Draft list and choose an Auto Draft. Teams will be automatically selected based on each user's pre-draft selections, as they stand at the set draft time. No manual player selection or draft takes place.
  • If playing against mates and you'd like to take your Draft offline, or organise a Draft Night, select the Live One Computer option. The Live Draft takes place on one computer (on the creator/commissioner login) with each user taking turns to select a player on the same computer.
  • Select how the Draft Order will work. In a Snake Draft the order reverses each round. For example, in a 10 team league, if your team has the first pick, you will then have pick number 20, 21, 40, 41 and so on. If you have the third draft pick initially, you'll then have pick number 18, 23, 38, 43 and so on. In a Linear Draft, the selection order remains the same. If you have Pick 1, you'll then have pick 11, 21 etc.
  • You can also pick the popular Banzai Draft, where the order of selections reverses in round 2 of picks, stays the same in round 3, and then continues as per the Snake Draft, reversing each round. For example, in a 10 team League:
    1st Round: 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10
    2nd Round: 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1
    3rd Round: 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1
  • Set the draft turn time - the time each user will have to make a choice during a Live Draft. Turns can be set from 60 seconds, and all the way to 1 day. Or pick a no limit, turn-based draft. Each user will be able to make their pick when the previous user has completed their selection. Keep in mind that if the Draft is not completed by the League's starting round, it will auto-complete based on each user's Pre-Draft priority list.
  • Then, simply set your Draft date and time! In Private Leagues, the league Commissioner may change this date/time after the league is created. For Public Leagues, the date and time is locked in, unless the league fails to fill by the required time. If the league is not completed, the league creator may reset and update the draft time.

Teams, trading & gameplay settings

  • Next, you'll need to select your squad size and field layout. There are four selectable options, which include short squads with short or long benches (for maximum versatility), or a complete NRL-like squad line up. The available squad options are as follows:
    HOK - Hookers, FRF - Front Row Forwards, 2RF - 2nd Row Forwards, HLF - Halves, CTR - Centres, WFB - Wingers/Fullbacks / BENCH - Total players):
    1-1-1-1-1-1/6 - 12 players
    1-2-2-1-1-2/5 - 14 players
    1-2-2-1-1-2/8 - 17 players
    1-2-3-2-2-3/4 - 17 players

    Remember, the game features a floating bench - players on your bench can be from any position.
  • Select whether you'd like to enable the selection of a Captain for each round on every team in your league - the player who will score double points. Keep in mind that the larger the league, the fewer high-scoring payers will be available in the all-important first round of picks. Therefore teams with the first picks may gain an advantage with having a high-scorer also receiving double points each round.
  • Select whether you'd like one player on your bench to act as an auto-emergency. If you have a starting player who doesn't play for any reason in any round, the lowest scoring player on your bench (with a score above 0) will act as auto-emergency and replace them on your squad. Only one auto-emergency per team is available.
  • You can choose to enable a Rolling Lockout. With rolling lockout, enabled, you may continue to edit your squad (by making substitutions and trades) right through each round, up until each player's actual match starts. At that point, they are locked into your team in their position (or bench). Otherwise, lockout is applied at the start of the first match of each round - no further changes can be made until the full round is completed.
  • Activate Trade Waivers to ensure a fairer trading system for players dropped from squads and the general pool of available players. Dropped players from squads are entered into a waiver system (instead of becoming free agents), with a priority list as to which teams will have first choice to pick them up. You can elect the desired time that a dropped player is to remain in the waiver system (from 1 to 4 days), in order for coaches to set their selections/desired waiver trades.
  • In addition, you can also set how the waiver order policy works. With Reverse Ladder (recommended), the waiver order is reset at the end of each round. The lowest ranked team in your league gets the first priority of selecting from the waiver pool, with the next-lowest picking next and so on. With the Last Pick to Bottom, the order is never reset - users go to the bottom of the priority order after each successful pick.
  • If waivers are not activated, all players dropped from teams become "Free Agents" at a set time, usually Midday the following day after they were released. With this system, players may be picked up on a 'first-come' basis, at the time they are released as a free agent.
  • Your final choice is to pick a system of handling inter-team trading (when one user proposes a direct trade with another user in the league). With the default setting of League approved, once a trade is proposed between two teams (and accepted by both teams), other coaches in your league have an option to place a 'veto' vote. A proposed trade will not be completed if, in the set time period, 40% of your league's coaches vote to veto the trade. For example, in a 10-person league, at least 4 coaches must place a veto vote in order to block a proposed trade.
  • For a Private League, the league commissioner/creator may elect for all proposed/accepted inter-team trades to be Commissioner-approved. Under this system, the league Commissioner has the sole and only power to approve and reject all proposed trades, at their selected time. Under the Free For All option, all proposed trades between teams (when accepted by the relevant coaches) are completed immediately. Keep in mind that under this option, it is up to the involved coaches to determine what is a fair trade - no other coach in the league, nor the commissioner, has any further input in what trades can take place between two teams.

Q: I'd like to setup my own league, but don't have the time and don't really understand all of the settings and options. What can I do? A: You can simply use our "Quick-Start" option. You'll need to name your league (optional) and choose whether you'd like to make it private (you'll need to invite all of the other participants to your league), or public (your league will be advertised, anyone can join). Your league will then be created based on our default, recommended rules.

Q: I don't want to create a league. Can I just join one? A: Yes, simply choose the Join a League option. Here, you'll see a range of leagues that you may be able to join - pick one that most suits the rules you'd like to play under and join. If you were invited to join a league, follow the link from your email, or enter the 6 digit code in the provided panel to join that league.

Joining A League or Browsing To Join An Existing League

Quick Tips

  • If you were invited to join an existing Private Draft League, simply enter the 6 digit league code that was provided to you, then complete your login or registration;
  • Alternatively, you can browse to join an existing Public League, setup with rules that you prefer;
  • If you prefer to create your own Private or Public League with your own rules, click the "Create a League" tab to get started.

Joining a league or browsing to join an existing league

  • If you prefer to simply join an existing league, click on the "Join/Find a League" tab to browse through currently available leagues and their settings. As long as there are spaces available, you can join any advertised Public league on the site.
  • If you were invited to join a league, follow the link from the invitation email, or enter the 6 digit League code that was provided to you in order to join that league.
  • Remember to check the league settings carefully and ensure you are happy with the rules set by the league creator. When joining an advertised Public League, your input in the operation of that league may be limited dependant on the applied settings of that league by the League creator. The League creator may also have some limited options to change settings after the public league has been created and advertised.

Q: I don't like any of the available options. Can I create a league with my own rules? A: Yes. Click on the "Create a League" option. You'll need to name your league (optional) and choose whether you'd like to make it private (you'll need to invite all of the other participants to your league), or public (your league will be advertised, anyone can join). Complete your registration and team entry

  • Once you've created or joined a league, the next step is to complete your registration and activate your team entry.
  • Please Read through all of the Terms & Conditions prior to registering.
  • Remember, if you are already registered in the regular salary cap competition or other games available on the site, you may simply login with the same email address and password. This will ensure that you have a single sign-on between the games, and can jump between them without logging in. If you've activated/purchased the Assistant Coach subscription, it will also work across all of the games - no need to purchase twice!

Q: I've forgotten my password, what can I do? A: Please click on the 'Lost password' link near the login panel to have a password reset link sent to you.

Q: I'm registered, but I'm having problems logging in. A: You must only login with the original email address that you have registered with. If you are unsure about your password, you can request a password reset by clicking here. We'll email you password reset instructions to your registered email address within a few minutes. Please check your Spam or Junk mail folder if it hasn't arrived in your inbox. If you don't receive our password reset email, then it's likely that you are using an incorrect email address or there’s an issue with your registration. If this is the case, please contact us, providing as much detail about your registration so that we may determine what may be at fault.

Q: I have a new email address. Can you change my login details? A: You can actually change your login details directly at the Holden NRL Dream Team Draft web site. Simply login with your current details, and then click on the 'SETTINGS' button which can be found near the top left of the screen. You can change your login email and/or password there.

Q: Why can't I change my team name? A: You can only change your team name prior to the start of the next round (after registering). Once the next round is complete, you will no longer be able to change your team name.

The Pre-Draft

Quick Tips

  • Setup your Pre-Draft list ordered by your most preferred players for the 2013 Live Draft;
  • Every 2013 NRL player is available in your Pre-Draft, you can edit the draft order as much as you like;
  • Your full Pre-Draft list will be available during the Live Draft, however you'll not be able to edit the order once the Live Draft is under way;
  • You can also set your Pre-Draft list for a single computer draft, to speed up your selections on draft day;
  • If you're playing in an "Auto-Draft" league, it is essential that you set and finalise your pre-draft list before the Automated Draft takes place - your squad will be automatically selected based on this list.

Setting up your Pre-Draft list

  • Once you've setup or joined a league and have registered or logged in, you'll immediately have access to your Holden NRL Dream Team Draft Pre-Draft page. Up until the time that your league is completed and your Draft is set to get under way, you'll have the opportunity to set up your very own list of your most preferred NRL players that you wish to draft into your team.
  • Your Pre-Draft list is unlimited and features every 2013 NRL player, so you can set your order as deep as you like. By default, your Pre-Draft list is ordered approximately by each player's respective past season average score. Setting up this list correctly is very important.
  • You can re-order and save your list by following the on-screen instructions and simply clicking on, and dragging players up and down your list. Or use the panel directly to the right to look up and find any player. Once you find them, simply drag the desired player/s from the right panel into your Pre-Draft list to the left, to place them in your preferred list order.
  • Don't forget to SAVE your list each time you finish making your change/s. It is entirely up to you how you wish to order your list (e.g. you may choose your favourite players across all positions, order by key position first to beat your fellow competitors to certain selections, etc).
  • Some players are available in multiple positions. Their first-listed position will be prioritised. You can simply click on their secondary position [in brackets] to prioritise that one instead. Dependant on how you fill your team, you'll still have the option to pick the player in either position during the Live Draft.

Getting Set for the Live or Auto Draft

  • If your league elected to have a Live Draft, you may a very limited time during the Live Draft (as set for your league) to make each of your selections. Your Pre-Draft list will assist you in making quick and timely selections when it is your turn to pick players during the Live Draft.
  • If your league elected the Auto Draft option, all picks will be completed automatically based on your Pre-Draft list. It is therefore extremely important that you complete and save your Pre-Draft order before the Auto-Draft is scheduled, and setup your list as deep as possible.
  • Note that your full Pre-Draft list will be available during the Live Draft to make quick and simple selections, or you may use the Live Draft functionality to look up and find any available player. However, you'll not be able to re-order your list once the Live Draft is taking place.
  • If a player on your list is selected by someone else before it's your turn, that particular player is automatically removed from your Pre-Draft list. In an Auto-Draft, priority is given dependant on the drafting order.
  • In the event that you are not present for the Live Draft, or you don't make a selection in your allotted time, the Live system will automatically select and add the next available player from your Pre-Draft list into your team.
  • In a Turn-Based Draft system (where league members have an unlimited time to make a selection), if the drafting process is incomplete prior to the start of your season, the Draft may be auto-completed based on each team's Pre-Draft list.

Team Selection

  • Remember, you'll need to select a complete squad in order to enter the competition and maximise your chance of scoring the most fantasy points.
  • You'll need to select a full 'starting line up' and players based on your league's squad settings. The remaining players that you'll pick will form a floating bench, and may be selected from any position.
  • Remember to account for players in all positions in the Pre-Draft.
  • The Pre-Draft page will not be accessible once the Live Draft or Auto Draft gets under way.
Game FAQs

Q: What happens if I don't have a Pre-Draft list? A: Everyone who joins will have a Pre-Draft list. By default, your Pre-Draft list is ordered approximately by each player's respective 2012 average score. This will be your default priority order if you don't move any players around.

Q: What if my Pre-Draft list runs out of players due to other teams selecting them? A: Every listed 2013 NRL player is featured in the 2013 Pre-Draft, so you'll definitely finish up with a complete team by the time the Live or Auto Draft has completed. You can still make unlimited changes to your team from the pool of available players (or Draft Trades with other members in your league) right through the competition.

Q: Will this list guarantee that I get all of the players that I want? A: No. Each player can only be selected once, and if someone selects one of the players on your Pre-Draft list before you do, you will not be able to pick them. Therefore it's very important that you order your list properly, to give yourself the best chance of getting the players you want.

The Live Draft

Quick Tips

  • Once your draft league is complete, at the set time you'll take part in a Live Draft with the other league members to select your squad;
  • If your league elected a single computer draft, the Live Draft will only be available from the league Commissioner (creator's) PC;
  • If your league elected the Auto Draft mode, there will be no Live Draft for your league - it'll simply select each team based on the set Pre-Draft order of each team;
  • During a Live Draft, you'll take turns to pick your players - remember, each player is available once in your league.
  • You'll have a limited time to make your selection when it's your turn, depending on the set draft turn time for your league. If you're not around for the Live Draft or you fail to make a selection in your allotted time, the Live Draft will auto-pick the next available player on your list, as set during the Pre-Draft.
  • If your league elected to have no limits on the time taken for each pick, each league member takes turns at their leisure to make a selection. An Auto Draft will follow if the drafting process is not completed prior to the start of your league's first round of competition.

Initialising the Live Draft

  • Your League's Live Draft or Auto Draft start time will be posted on your Pre-Draft page.
  • Please ensure that you complete and finalise your Pre-Draft list as soon as possible. The Pre-Draft page is no longer accessible once the Live Draft gets under way, however your Pre-Draft list will be available during the Live Draft. Its order cannot be edited during the Draft.
  • Your Live Draft will be accessible from the posted time and you'll be able to get to it via the "Team" button in your game menu, the "Draft" tab after you've logged in, or by following the link posted on your Pre-Draft page.
  • You'll be notified by email when your Live Draft time is approaching, however it is recommended that you check back at the web site periodically to ensure that you don't miss it.
  • Remember, if you're a part of a Private League, the league creator may change the Live Draft time. If this happens, you'll receive another email notification, however you should login and check periodically for any changes.
  • To ensure that a fair time is set for those joining Public Leagues, no single person has access to changing a Live Draft time and once set, this is final. However, a Public League draft time may also change, or be changed by the league creator, if the league does not have the required number of entries by the time it is set to get under way.

How the Live Draft works

  • The Holden NRL Dream Team Draft Live Draft places your entry head-to-head with your league's opponents, as you each draft your unique squad in turns. A complete selection order will be available in the Live Draft based on your league's draft order settings, which runs over several selection 'rounds' (depending on the squad size setting of your league), allowing each team to pick one player per round.
  • You'll be able to view a live draft list of all of upcoming picks at all times during the Live Draft.
  • The Live Draft will also keep you completely updated with who is doing what, the selections that have been made and more, on a 15 second interval - there's no need to refresh the page.
  • You can also view all of the team line-ups selected by your fellow competitors as they happen, live. You can also view each of their complete selected squads to date.

When it's your turn

  • When it's your turn to make a pick, you may have a limited time (as set by your league) to make a selection. You can select from any available player from your complete Pre-Draft list, or look up any other remaining player from the overall player draft.
  • While it's NOT your turn, you can also set up your next preferred pick.
  • If you fail to make a selection in the allotted time, the next available player from your Pre-Draft list will be automatically added to your team.
  • If, for any reason you are unavailable for your league's Live Draft, the Live system will automatically select and add players to your Team when it is your turn, based on your Pre-Draft list and the ordering of your players on that list. It will automatically add the next available player based on your priority list, who hasn't already been selected.
  • If your league elected to have no limits on the time taken for each pick, each league member takes turns at their leisure to make a selection at their leisure - so a Live Draft may be completed over days or weeks. An Auto Draft will follow if the drafting process is not completed prior to the start of your league's first round of competition.

Your Selections

  • You'll be selecting a complete squad based on your league's squad size setting, during the Draft.
  • You'll need to pick the minimum required number of players in each position to be able to set a starting line-up, as per your league's squad make-up and size setting.
  • Note that you do not necessarily need to pick player in any specific positional order. Once you've reached the maximum number of 'starting' players required in any position for your squad, any other payer selections you make from that position will simply be added to your 'floating bench'.
  • Remember, your floating bench may be made up of players from any position.
  • You can therefore select your players in any order and from any position that you like, as long as you pick the minimum required players in each position.

Single PC Draft

  • The single PC Draft works in the same way as the LIve Draft, except the drafting process takes place on a single login - that being the League Creator/Commissioner.
  • The same drafting rules, turn times etc may be set as per the Live Draft. Each league member may also set a Pre-Draft list from their own login.
  • Each league member should be present on the "Draft Night" in order to make their selections on a single PC. Remember, the single PC is open to all league members at all times - anyone can make a pick on behalf of any other league member.
  • If you prefer to take your league draft offline and draft your players in another way, the league Commissioner may then input all of the users' teams on their own, using the Draft system at the prescribed draft time.

The Auto Draft

  • If you're in an Auto Draft league, no manual Drafting or user-activated player selection takes place.
  • Each entrant's squad will be automatically selected based on their Pre-Draft list, using a draft order as per your league's settings - at the set draft time. There will be NO access to a Draft system where further selections may be made by any user, at any time.
  • Remember, it is extremely important that you complete and save your Pre-Draft order before the Auto-Draft is scheduled, and setup your list as deep as possible.

Editing your team after the Draft

  • ALL coaches will have a complete list of players on their squad on the conclusion of the Live Draft, based on your league's squad make-up and size setting.
  • Once the Live Draft is complete, you'll have full access to your Team page and the Trades Centre is initialised, based on your league's trading rules and settings. You'll then be able to edit your team from the remaining 'free agent' pool of players who haven't been selected by any of the teams (or make waiver claims, trade with the other members of your league, etc).
Game FAQs

Q: The Live Draft time for a league that I set up is inconvenient. Can I change it? A: In all private leagues, the league creator/commissioner can set and change the Live Draft time at any point, up until the round at which the competition is set to commence. If you're the Commissioner, simply click on the "Settings" link for all available league customisation options. In public leagues, the draft time cannot be changed, unless the league has not filled up by the time the Live Draft is set to begin. In this instance, the league creator may change the draft time.

Q: I was sure I had a player on my Pre-Draft list, but he's now disappeared? A: The Pre-Draft list is no guarantee that you will get all of your players. If someone whose turn it is to select before you do picks a player who is at the top of your list, for example, this player will no longer be available for selection by anyone.

Q: I didn't complete my team during the Live Draft/completely missed it. What happens now? A: ALL coaches will have a complete list of players on the conclusion of the Live Draft, based on the Pre-Draft list and player availability. Once the Live Draft is complete, you'll have full access to your Team page. You'll be able to pick from the remaining player pool based on your league's trading rules and settings, or propose to make trades with the other teams in your League.

Editing Your Team

Quick Tips

  • Edit your starting line-up of players right through the week and up to the start of the round (non-Rolling Lockout Leagues) or each match during the round of footy (Rolling Lockout), by making substitutions to set your best line-up, as well as initialising Draft Trades and Team Trades for players that you may wish to remove from your team;
  • You can make unlimited trades and team changes right through the Season, including inter-team trades subject to your league's, or Commissioner approval (based on your League's setting);
  • If your league activated the Captain option, name your captain each round for double points and your vice captain who will score double points in the event that your captain scores 0.
  • In the right panel, track all of your pending trades and trade offers for your players - and make any players available for inter-team trading.

Editing your Team

  • On the completion of the Live Draft, your Team page allows you to view and edit your entire Team list and follow each player's scoring and performance breakdown.
  • Each round you'll need to name your STARTING LINE-UP. You'll score points from these players only.
  • You'll be able to make unlimited changes right through the season by either making substitutions on your floating bench (note that they can only be named in your Starting line-up in the position/s they are available in); by completing "Draft Trades" (trading players direct in the Free Agent Player Draft or Waiver System - with the remaining and available pool of players); or "Team Trades", where you can trade direct with the other teams in your League via the Trades Centre.
  • If your league elected a Rolling Lockout system, you'll be able to make changes to your team right through the round of footy. Players from each team will be locked into your squad as their particular NRL match begins, and players from those teams can no longer be traded or selected for that particular round. Otherwise, no further team editing will be possible from the start of the first match of each round, up until the completion of the round, when all scores have been processed and finalised.
  • Keep an eye on the panel to the right of your team field/list, which will keep you informed and updated with basic trading information:
  • If your league has activated Waiver trading, you'll be able to set the priority of wanted players in the Waiver Pool.
  • Track players YOU have made available for Team Trades with other members of your League - these are players on your team that you've put up for possible trade. A trade will not take place until you accept an offer from another Coach, and pending league or Commissioner approval (depending on your League's settings). You may remove any of your players from this list at any time.
  • Players made available for Team Trades by other teams in your league - here you can view who is available, and offer to trade one of your players for those being put up for trade.
  • Simply click on the "Trades Centre" link for all of the latest league trading information, including players made available for Team Trades, the current Waiver pool, proposed trades awaiting a VETO vote or Commissioner approval and new players becoming available in the Free Agent or Waiver Player Pool, as released by other coaches.

Substitutions

  • Click the button to substitute the desired OUT of your starting line-up.
  • Then, select the highlighted reserve (or a highlighted dual position player) in the matching position to complete your substitution. In 'player stats view', simply select the replacement substitute from the "substitute with" link, next to the player you wish to substitute out.

Team Trade

  • Click this button to make the player available for a direct Inter-Team Trade with other teams in your league. Other teams in your league will then have an opportunity to offer you one of their players to complete a trade.
  • A trade will not be listed until YOU accept the offer and confirm the trade. You may cancel the player availability or any trade offers made at any time.
  • Once a proposed trade offer has been accepted and confirmed, it will be subject to a delay, and set to happen at Midday, at least 24 hours from the time it was proposed (for example, if the trade is accepted at 5pm Tuesday, it will be set to take place at Midday Thursday). In the event there is a lockout due to come into effect, the trade will be delayed until the Midday after the round has been completed.
  • During this time, and based on your league's settings, the proposed trade will be subject to a veto vote by the remaining Coaches in your league. It'll be up to all coaches to determine whether the trade is fair and in the spirit of the league and the competition - if 40% or more of the coaches in your league vote to veto a trade, it will be cancelled. In a Commissioner-approved trades league, it will be up to the Commissioner alone to approve or reject the trade at their time of choosing. Under a free-for-all system, the trade takes place immediately when the other coach has accepted the offer.

Draft Trade & the Trades Centre

  • Click the button to trade this player for another one in a matching position from all of the remaining players in the Free Agent or Waiver Player Pool, or to request a trade and make an offer for a player on another team in your league.
  • You'll be taken to the Trades Page of your league's Trades Centre. Here, you'll see your squad listed to the left. On the right is the entire list of players. Depending on your league settings, all of the players will have a status associated with them.
  • If a player is listed as a Free Agent, your trade will be completed immediately.
  • If a player is listed as being Under Waiver, your trade will be subject to your league's Waiver rules, if enabled for your league. The trade will only be completed depending on your priority order (and whether a team with a higher priority has also made a claim for that particular player) and after the time set in your league, in which a player must remain available in the Waiver pool (i.e. if the waiver period set for your league is 2 days, the player remains under Waiver for the full 48 hour period to allow other teams in your league to make a trade claim - the trade will occur 48 hours after the player was dropped into the Waiver pool).
  • If the waiver system is not activated for your league, players that you (or others) drop back into the player pool will be made available on a delay, generally around Midday and at least 24 hours from the time they were dropped. Once available, they become a Free Agent and may be picked up by any team on a first-come basis. This is to ensure there's no 'collusion' between teams, and allowing all teams in the league an equal opportunity to pick up newly-dropped players in the pool. Free agents become available for trading on this page after this period and will be completed immediately.
  • If a player is is owned by another team, you can still elect to make a trade, in which case a Trade Offer will be made to that respective team for a team trade. It is up to the coach of that team to then accept or reject your trade offer. If accepted, the trade is then subject to approval, based on your league's settings (i.e. in a veto league, coaches will get the opportunity to place a veto vote to block the trade from happening. Under a Commissioner Approved setting, the commissioner must approve or reject the trade before it is completed). If you are playing in a free for all league, the trade will be completed when the other coach accepts your trade offer. Remember, you can cancel any trade offer before it is accepted or approved by the other coach.
  • Player availability and status information will always be provided via the comprehensive Trades Centre - be sure to check back regularly.

Captain & Vice Captain

  • If your league has activated Captains selection, you may also name a Captain and a Vice Captain for your league.
  • Your captain scores double points. You should also select a vice captain, who will score double points ONLY if your captain is a late withdrawal or doesn't play for any reason.

Q: If I've put up a player for a Team Trade, am I committing to that trade? Can I be given a player I don't want? A: No. You will always have full control over your players. When you put up a player for a possible trade, the other teams in your league can make a counter-offer, to trade you one of their players for one of yours. You'll be able to see this and have the option to accept it or deny it. Only after you accept it, the trade will go through the regular league veto process or for approval by the commissioner (depending on settings), before it takes place. Q: What happens when I offer one of my players, for a player that's been put up for a possible trade by another team? A: Firstly, make sure you are completely satisfied that you want that trade to happen. It will then be up to the other team to decide if they wish to accept or deny your offer. If they accept, the trade will go through the regular league veto process or for approval by the commissioner (depending on settings), before it takes place. In a free for all trading system, the trade is completed immediately when the other coach accepts your proposal.

Q: I accepted a trade offer from another team, but the trade never took place. Why? A: Remember, all trades may be subject to the veto powers of the other Coaches in your league, or at the Commissioner's discretion. If at least 40% of the other coaches don't feel that it is a fair trade and in the spirit of the league and vote to VETO, or if the Commissioner decides to reject it - the trade will be blocked. Also, a trade with the same player may have been proposed with another team, who may have taken up the offer first.

Q. How long do I have to finalise my Starting line-up? A. You will be able to do edit your Starting Squad right through the competition and for every round. You'll be able to make unlimited Draft Trades from the remaining player pool and unlimited Team trades with other Coaches in your League, subject to the league's approval and veto system, set waiver rules and your league's priority order, etc.

Q: Am I allowed to talk about trades with the other teams in my league and request them? If so, how do I do that? A: Don't forget that you will have the live chat facility available to you across the web site. This is a LIVE public forum for your League and everyone in your League can view these discussions.

Q: You have player X available in the competition as a Front Rower and a Second Rower. How come I can only select him as a Second Rower? A: You can usually name a player only in the position that you selected them in. However, IF, for example, you have a Front Rower who was selectable as a Second Rower AND a Second Rower originally also available as a Front Rower, you may now SUBSTITUTE the two between positions.

Quick Tips

  • The Trades Centre provides you will all of the facilities to initiate and track all of your team's, and your wider league's trading activity;
  • Use the Team Trades page to follow all inter-team trading. For leagues based on Veto trade approval, vote to block any proposed pending trades, find a list of players who have been made available for inter-team trading and make an offer. Track all completed and blocked trades in your league;
  • In the right panel, track all of your pending trades, trade offers for your players, as well as a record of your completed team trades;
  • The Trade Pool & Waiver List page in Trades Centre will provide an up-to-date list of players released by teams in your league, any trade claims by other teams, and the facility to place and prioritise your own Waiver Claims;
  • If your League elected not to use the Waiver trading system, you'll be able to view upcoming Free Agents as released (traded out) by other teams, and when they'll become available for trading;
  • Use the Trade Players panel to view the entire draft list of players in your league. View their status (under waiver or free agent), initiate a trade immediately or make a waiver claim. You'll also be able to see who currently owns any player. Initiate a trade offer to other teams by making a trade proposal!

The Trades Centre

  • The Trades centre is your single stop for all trading activity. It becomes active once first Drafts are completed, from February 11 onwards.
  • Depending on your League's trading rules settings, the Trades Centre is where you initiate and follow all of your team's and your league's trading activity and management.

Trades Centre - Team Trades

  • The Team Trades panel provides you with all of the information and management options for Inter-Team trading.
  • You'll see all of the proposed, pending team trades. If your league's trading rules are set on a league approval basis, this is where you can vote to veto a proposed trade that you may feel is unfair or not in the spirit of your league. In a commissioner approved trades setting, the league Commissioner is the only person who may approve or reject proposed team trades here.
  • A list of players that other teams have made available for trading is provided here. If you are interested in any of those players, you may make a direct trade offer with one of your players. Once a proposed trade offer has been accepted and confirmed by the other coach, it will be subject to a delay, and set to happen at Midday, at least 24 hours from the time it was proposed (for example, if the trade is accepted at 5pm Tuesday, it will be set to take place at Midday Thursday). In the event there is a lockout due to come into effect, the trade will be delayed until the Midday after the round has been completed.

  • The right panel provides you with trading information and options for your team - including any pending trades you may have, which are awaiting league or commissioner approval; any pending offers for your players made by other teams and awaiting your approval, and; any offers that may have been made for your players by other teams, awaiting your approval.
  • You may also use the Team Trades page to make players on your squad available for trade offers to other teams in your league, as well as tracking completed and blocked trades relevant to your team only.

Trades Centre - Trade Pool & Waiver List

  • Depending on your league's setting, the Trade Centre's Trade Pool & Waiver List panel provides you with information and management options for all recently dropped players by other teams who are subject to Waiver trading rules or about to become Free Agents.
  • The Waiver List provides a complete listing of dropped players who are in the Waiver pool, including information on any trade claims made by other teams. You may also initiate a trade claim on a player here.
  • Further below, you are able to keep track of your squad's current waiver claims and manage the priority of your claims (from most wanted to least wanted). The players traded into your team under Waiver rules will depend on this list, as well as your league's Waiver Priority Order (available in the top-right panel).
  • Your trade request under Waiver will be subject to your league's Waiver rules. The trade will only be completed depending on your priority order (and whether a team with a higher priority has also made a claim for that particular player) and after the time set in your league, in which a player must remain available in the Waiver pool (i.e. if the waiver period set for your league is 2 days, the player remains under Waiver for the full 48 hour period to allow other teams in your league to make a trade claim - the trade will occur 48 hours after the player was dropped into the Waiver pool).
  • If no claim is made on a player during the set Waiver period for your League, they become a Free Agent at the end of their Waiver period and may be picked up by any team in your League on a first-come basis.
  • If the waiver system is not activated for your league, players that you (or others) drop back into the player pool will be made available on a delay, generally around Midday and at least 24 hours from the time they were dropped. Once available, they become a Free Agent and may be picked up by any team on a first-come basis. Quick Tips

  • Your League page is where you track your team's progress against your league competitors through your Holden NRL Dream Team Draft season;
  • If you were a league creator (commissioner), you can invite others to join your League until it has filled up with the required number of users;
  • If your league elected a head-to-head gameplay option, the League page provides full fixtures and results for all match-ups in your league - in addition to the league table, which may also be re-arranged to rank teams by total points;
  • If your league elected to play League Finals Series, your League page will provide the Top 8 finals fixture once your 'regular' season has concluded.

Your League - before the Draft

  • Manage and follow your League's progress and performances throughout your Holden NRL Dream Team Draft season.
  • If you were the league creator in a Private League, here you'll be able to invite others to this League by using the automated invite form. Be sure to fill your league prior to your set Draft time (if not, you may change the draft time to a later date from your "Settings"). The league creator also has the ability to remove teams from private leagues.
  • In a Public League, anyone who joins may use the invite form to invite others to join, up until the league has filled up. Keep in mind that Public Leagues are also advertised on the web site - other users may elect to join any unfilled public league at any time. If a public league is not filled by the set Draft time, the league creator may change the draft time and related league settings to allow for more time.
  • A user may choose to leave any Private or Public league, up until 48 hours before the set Draft time for each League. At that time, all Leagues are finalised and no further changes will be possible.
  • Once your League is full with the required number of teams, the Live or Auto Draft order for the first round of picks is published on your League page. For private leagues only, the league creator/commissioner may set and change the draft order at their discretion.

After the Draft

  • Once your Draft is complete and your league is finalised, use the league page to track the performances and ranking of all of the coaches in your League.
  • If you elected to play in a league ranked on total points only, your league's rankings will be updated on the completion of each round, when scores have been processed and updated.
  • If playing in a head-to-head league, your league ladder is ranked based on your win/loss record, playing for the 2 points each week. Your league page also provides you with your league's full fixture, head-to-head results for every team and each completed round, as well as your team's past head-to-head results and upcoming fixture.
  • If your league has activated the Top 8 Finals series option, a draw and schedule will also be provided for the final four weeks of your season at the relevant time, once your league's 'regular season' has completed.
  • Your head-to-head league will also allow you to view rankings for each of the teams based on total points.
Game FAQs

Q. I was invited to another league after my Live Draft. Can I change Leagues? A. You can only change Leagues for a limited time after initial registration. Once your team is in a complete League and a Live Draft has been set to start in 48 hours or less (or has already been completed in your League), it is no longer possible to change, as this affects the League's player list, season fixture and results.

Q: How I do create a league where I can compete against my friends? A: If you've been invited to join a league by a friend or relative, please use the information that was emailed to you to join that league. If not, you are given the option to create your own league and invite other friends and relatives to join your league, prior to registration.

Q: I've found out that all of my friends are in another league. How do I swap leagues so I can play against them? Can you move my team for me? A: You can swap leagues by entering the desired league code in the box provided on your league page, as long as that league is not full, or you are already a part of a complete league with a set Live Draft due to begin in 48 hours or less. Note that you can only be a part of ONE league.

Q: Do I win a prize for coming first in my private/public league? A: There are no prizes associated with this competition.

Q: Can I change the name of the league that I created? A: Your league name is a unique identifier in the game, and can only be changed prior to the start of the competition - usually only by the league creator.

Q: The league that I was in is now different, or its name changed… Why? A: We may add teams, or merge leagues where they don't attract enough competitors. All care will be taken to ensure that all original teams that you had in your league will still be there, in addition to new ones. Your league name may therefore change based on these movements.

Q: I just joined. Why wasn't I added to a league, and where is the option to create one? A: Everyone who signs up to the Holden NRL Dream Team Draft will be a part of a league. Look for the "League" link and button on your competition HQ page to access your league.

Quick Tips

  • You'll score points based on actual player performances from your selected Starting line-up each round;
  • If your league has an Auto-Emergency option activated, you'll receive the score from your lowest-scoring bench player (other than those who score 0) if any of your starting players don't play;
  • If your league has Captains activated, you receive double points from your Captain (or vice captain if your captain doesn’t play).

How you'll score points

  • Your Holden NRL Dream Team Draft entry is awarded points based on the real performances of the real players in each game, throughout your set Holden NRL Dream Team Draft season.
  • Points scored by your team each round are based on the performance of the starting line-up of players that you have set for each round.
  • The remaining players on your Floating Bench don't score, unless your league has activated the "Auto Emergency" option - in which case you'll get the lowest scoring emergency's score above 0 to replace any player on your starting line-up who doesn't play (irrespective of position).

Club Byes in 2013

  • There are multiple rounds in 2013 where a number of teams have a bye.
  • You'll not receive any points from players whose team/s have a bye, and don't play in any particular round. Please keep this in mind and adjust your team accordingly each week.

Live and final scores

  • While live scoring for your team and your league's opponents and participants will be available during the round, scores and rankings are usually updated, confirmed and finalised the day after the last game of the round.
  • Points are awarded as defined by NRL Stats, the official supplier of the NRL competition.
  • In certain circumstances, due to the complexities involved in the large number of statistics that are provided and processed, delays may occur. Please allow up until 3:00pm AEST on the day following the completion of the round for official statistics to be finalised by NRL Stats and corresponding Holden NRL Dream Team Draft scores to be confirmed.
  • Scores are typically final once completely processed, at which time the competition will be re-opened for team editing for the following round.

Point Scoring FAQs

Q: Why has my score changed after lockout? A: Any live or end-of-game scoring provided during the round should be treated as tentative and indicative only. Once the stats are reviewed at the end of the round, player scores may change slightly when the official results are published.

Q: Why is my score is incorrect? A: It's possible you may have made changes to your line-up. Please refer to the 'How your team scored' column to the right of your team, to view your team's scoring breakdown from the past round.

Q. Can I view the highest-scoring players from a certain team or in a certain position? Can I see who scored highest in the last round only? A. You can sort the players by team, position and scores up to any previously completed round, from the drop-down menus near the top of the Stats Centre page. This will display players sorted by their Season-to-date scoring. Simply click on the 'round totals' tab to re-sort the players by their last round score only, in your selected grouping.

2013 NRL Dream Team Draft Game ("Game") - Official rules and regulations

1. INTRODUCTION

1.1 By registering and participating in the 2013 NRL Dream Team Draft Game, participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules ("Rules").


1.2 The Game is part of an online Fantasy Sports community, where throughout the featured rounds of the 2013 National Rugby League season as indicated on the web site, Eligible Participants are able to create one (1) user registration, and enter one (1) team and league in the Game.


1.3 The game is completely free to enter and play.


2. TERM OF GAME

2.1 The Game commences at 12.01pm Australian Eastern Daylight Time ("AEDT") on 25 January 2013 and closes at 11.59pm AEST on 8 September 2013 ("Promotion Period"), and will cover each of the 26 rounds in the 2013 National Rugby League Premiership season ("Rounds").


3. WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE

3.1 Participation in the Game is open to all people who wish to participate in the Game ("Eligible Participants").


4. HOW TO PARTICIPATE

4.1 To participate, Eligible Participants must complete their registration during the promotion period by:

(i) electing to create or join a league in the competition based on the rules and settings as outlined and available on the web site; and

(ii) completing the online registration process for the Game, located on the Website;

During the Promotion Period:

(i) participate in the Game on the Website, in accordance with the Rules; and

(ii) comply with these Website Terms of Use

4.2 An Eligible Participant can elect to create or join a private or public league and invite other Eligible Participants to join. An Eligible Participant may advise a person about the Game and invite them to join by sending them an email through the Website. The Eligible Participant warrants that any person they send an email to in this manner has consented to the receipt of the email.


4.3 If an Eligible Participant does not select a league during registration, they may be automatically entered into a public league.


4.4 Eligible Participants may create their Team, during the specified times for their League, by:


(a) selecting and ordering a list of their preferred NRL players in the "pre-draft" mode as notified on the Website; and/or


(b) participating in the "live draft" stage at the allotted time for their particular League, as notified by email from the Organiser and/or on the Website ("Allotted Time"). Each of the participants in the League will take turns during the Allotted Time to select a player for their Team in a pre-determined order (as notified on the Website at the time of the "live draft"), choosing a set number of players each, based on the rules and settings elected at the time of joining or creating a league.

4.5 If the Eligible Participant participates in the "live draft" but does not complete their Team during the Allotted Time, they may select from the remaining players in the pool once the "live draft" stage has ended and before the start of the set first Round of the competition, based on the rules and settings elected at the time of joining or creating a league, as outlined on the web site.


4.6 If the Eligible Participant does not take part in the "live draft", players will be automatically added to the Eligible Participant's Team based on their list of preferred players in clause 4.4(a), at the Organiser's discretion.


4.7 Team selection is subject to position limitations.


4.8 Only one registration per Eligible Participant (and per email address supplied) will be accepted.


4.9 Eligible Participants can replace players in their Team via the Trade page of the Website during the Promotion Period. Eligible Participants can make unlimited player trades per Round during the NRL season, from any available player in the pool based on the rules and settings elected at the time of joining or creating a league and as notified at the web site. Participants within the League may also trade players between themselves, which will also be subject to a voting system by other Participants in their league, or by approval of the participant who initially created the league, based on the rules and settings elected at the time of joining or creating a league and as notified at the web site. Trades must be made prior to the commencement of the upcoming Round or the starting time of any traded player's match (based on the rules and settings elected at the time of joining or creating a league) and will be subject to position limitations.


5. SCORING OF POINTS

5.1 Eligible Participants will score points based upon the real-life performance of their Team players for each Round that they participate in (based on the rules and settings elected at the time of joining or creating a league), based on the point system set out below.


5.2 Points will be awarded (or subtracted) for each performance statistic attributed to each Team player during the Round as follows:

5.3 Eligible Participants will score points from their nominated Starting line-up players only, unless an Automatic Emergency option was activated based on the rules and settings elected at the time of joining or creating a league. If activated within a league, each eligible participant will be awarded one Automatic Emergency, in the event that any of the starting line-up players do not play in any given round and receive a score of 0 points. The Automatic Emergency will be the lowest scoring player who receives a score greater than 0 from their selected Squad, who is not selected in the starting line-up. The Automatic Emergency score will be automatically added to the total points scored by the eligible participant's team in any given round.

The remaining "bench" players will not add their points towards the Eligible Participant's total score.


5.4 The Team captain, if activated (based on the rules and settings elected at the time of joining or creating a league) will score double points. In the event the Team captain does not play and therefore scores 0 points, the vice-captain will score double points.


5.5 Players traded during the season do not get their aggregate points added to or subtracted from the Eligible Participant's total score.


5.6 Eligible Participants will be ranked on the Website by their score for the previous Round ("Round Ranking"), and their overall score for the Game to date ("Overall Ranking"), within their own league only.


5.6 The scoreboard will be updated on the day following completion of each Round, and Eligible Participants will be sent their score for each Round via email.


5.7 In the event of a tie between two (2) or more Eligible Participants for a position on the scoreboard after any Round (for a Round Ranking or an Overall Ranking) the Eligible Participant, from the tied Eligible Participants, who registered to participate in the Game on the Website first chronologically will be ranked higher.


6. GENERAL

6.1 There are no prizes available or awarded in the game.


6.2 The Organiser is Vapormedia Pty Ltd, of 107/425 Docklands Drive, Docklands VIC 3008.


6.3 By participating in the Game, Eligible Participants agree to being contacted (including via email) by the Organiser from time to time in conjunction with the Game. Eligible Participants also agree to information about them and their participation in the Game being displayed on the Website, and to their participation being tracked via the use of cookies.


6.4 The Organiser accepts no responsibility for any entries not received for any reason during the Promotion Period. Entries will be deemed to be accepted at the time of receipt and not at the time of transmission. No responsibility will be taken for lost, late or misdirected entries. The Organiser is not responsible for technical difficulties with the entry mechanism and does not warrant that the entry mechanism will be available at all times.


6.5 If for any reason the Game is not capable of running as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Organiser, which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Organiser reserves the right in its sole discretion to take any action that may be available, subject to compliance with any laws.


6.6 Any participant who, in the opinion of the Organiser, tampers or interferes with the entry mechanism in any way, or who does not properly comply with the entry process, will be ineligible to participate.


6.7 The judges' decision is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into. Incomplete, illegible and incorrect entries or entries containing offensive or defamatory comments, or which breach any law or infringe any third party rights, including intellectual property rights, are not eligible to participate.


6.8 The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify participants in the event of non-compliance with these Rules.


6.9 In the event there is a dispute concerning the conduct of the Game, the decision of the Organiser is final and binding on each person who participates and no correspondence will be entered into.


6.10 To the extent permitted by law, the Organiser shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with this Game, including but not limited to that suffered as a result of the Eligible Participant's reliance on the Guide in playing the Game.


6.11 Information about Eligible Participants is used by the Organiser to assess and process registrations for the Game. If a person wishing to participate in the Game does not provide the required information (see clause 4 above), the Organiser cannot process the registration and the person will not be entered into the Game. All registrations and information contained in them become the property of the Organiser and will be entered into a database. Information emanating from the Eligible Participant's participation in the Game is used by the Organiser and its agencies associated with it for the determination of the scoreboard, referred to in clauses 5.5, 5.6 and 5.7 above. Eligible Participants consent to the publishing of their personal information and score on the Website by the Organiser. The Organiser will not be held responsible for, and expressly excludes, any loss of reputation, status or otherwise in connection with an Eligible Participant's score.


6.12 By participating in the Game, the Eligible Participant understands and agrees that the Organiser may use and disclose the information provided by the Eligible Participant to the Organiser on the terms and for the purposes (including marketing) set out in the Organiser's Privacy Statement available at http://www.telstra.com.au/privacy/privacy-statement/?red=/privacy/privacy_statement.html, as if they were a customer of the Organiser. The Eligible Participant agrees that the Organiser can continue to contact them even after the Game ends. If the Eligible Participant would like to access or correct the personal information that the Organiser holds about the Eligible Participant, or if the Eligible Participant does not wish the information to be disclosed, the Eligible Participant should advise the Organiser via this online form http://nrlpro.virtualsports.com.au/.


7. By participating in the Game, the Eligible Participant agrees and acknowledges that:

(a) they may be contacted by the Organiser to provide comments about the Game and the Organiser (or an agent of the Organiser) may take photos of them;


(b) the Organiser may use such comments or photos (the "Materials") for the Organiser's future promotional and marketing purposes without further reference or compensation to them;


© the Organiser may duplicate, alter, adapt and utilise the Materials as the Organiser wishes at any time, anywhere, and by any means. The Organiser may license, authorise or otherwise transfer the rights in the Materials to others to do the same;


(d) they acknowledges that the Organiser retains all right, title and interest, including copyright, in the Materials and, by participating in the Game, they assign to the Organiser on creation of the Materials all right, title and interest which might, but for these terms and conditions, vest in them;


(e) they unconditionally and irrevocably consents to any act or omission that would otherwise infringe any of their moral rights in the Materials (as defined in Part IX of the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth)) and present and future rights of a similar nature conferred by statute anywhere in the world whether occurring before or after this consent is given ("Moral Rights");


(f) they waive all Moral Rights in the Materials that arise outside Australia; and


(g) they agrees not to institute, maintain or support any claim or proceeding for infringement of their Moral Rights in the Materials.

8. IF ANY PARTICIPANT ATTEMPTS TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE WEBSITE OR THE INFORMATION ON THE WEBSITE, OR TO OTHERWISE UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE GAME, THE ORGANISER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO TAKE LEGAL ACTION PERMITTED BY LAW.

Quick Tips

  • There are seven selectable view options here, providing various analysis and projection data;
  • You can click on any of the column headers to sort your list, depending on the factors that are most relevant or important to you and your team;
  • Hover over any of the column headers for quick explanations as to what each column indicates.

Projections

  • Projections will provide each player's projected score and the average score for the next 3 upcoming rounds.
  • If the projected score for any of the three rounds is green, it means that the projected score for that particular round is 10% or higher above their 3 round average. Red indicates that it is 10% or more lower.

Cash Cows

  • Cash Cows provides projected price changes for each player for the next three upcoming rounds and for the Season.
  • To see a round-by-round projected breakdown for the FULL Season, click on any player name to view their full player profile and projections.

Break Even

  • The Break Even score indicates the approximate points that the player will need to score in order to maintain their price at the current level in the next round (i.e. if they score more than this, their value will increase).
  • You are provided with comprehensive Break Even projections for the next three upcoming rounds.
  • Projections displayed in green indicate that the BE is below their projected score for that particular round (and therefore their price will likely increase), while red indicates that it is higher, likely resulting in a price decrease.
  • In addition, you are provided with the probability percentage that the player is likely to achieve or score higher than their projected BE for each of the next three rounds - the closer this is to 100%, the more likely it is that they'll achieve their BE score.

Consistency

  • Consistency rankings provides a "Consistency Rating" - a standard deviation value that indicates a range within which a player scores.
  • The lower the "Consistency Rating" number, the more consistent that player's scores have been this season.
  • A large consistency rating would therefore indicate that the player's scores vary greatly and they are not a consistent performer.
  • The Consistency ranking also provides the player's projected score range - the points range which their score is likely to fall within, in any given round.
  • Using these two ratings in combination will provide you with an indication of the player's scoring ability, and how consistent they may be from round-to-round.

Opponents

  • You are provided with each player's average score from the past few years versus their next three upcoming opponents.
  • Each player's individual profile page also provides an average versus every club in the competition.

Venue

  • You are provided with each player's average score from the past few years at each of the next 3 upcoming venues.
  • Each player's individual profile page also provides an average at every venue in the competition.

Coaches Choice

  • Coaches Choice provides you with information on the most popular captain selections, their change in ownership since the last round and since the start of the Season.

  • These terms and conditions apply to your subscription for, access to and use of the Assistant Coach Services provided by Vapormedia Pty Limited ACN 140 989 368.

    The Assistant Coach Services are available to registered participants of the Dream Team game (subject to the completion of the subscription application process).

    For the avoidance of doubt, these terms and conditions only apply to your subscription for, access to and use of the Assistant Coach Services. Your participation in the Dream Team game will continue to be governed by the applicable terms of use and/or game rules between you and the game provider.

    The Assistant Coach Services are information, analysis and prediction tools and other services intended to assist you in playing the Game and making decisions regarding the Game. Due to the unpredictable nature of the Game and the numerous variables involved in the Game, you cannot rely on the accuracy, relevance or completeness of the Assistant Coach Services or Assistant Coach Content and must make your own enquiries and conduct your own research and analysis before making decisions in respect of the Game or otherwise playing the Game.


  • Definitions
  • In these terms and conditions:

    ACL means the Australian Consumer Law set out in Schedule Two of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).

    Additional Amount means an amount equal to a price or other sum payable in connection with a supply under these terms and conditions multiplied by the applicable GST rate plus any penalties or interest or both imposed under any applicable GST laws.

    Assistant Coach Content means any Content relevant to the Game which, in providing the Assistant Coach Services to you, we decide to make available to you via your Game Page from time to time.

    Assistant Coach Services means the services referred to in clause 3.

    Content includes information, data, pictures, text, graphics, multi media presentations, fonts, layouts and hyperlinks.

    Game means the NRL Dream Team and NRL Dream Team Pro competitions located on the Website http://dreamteam.nrl.com.

    Game Expiry Date means the date the Game Period ends.

    Game Page means the section of the Website accessible by you when you enter your Game user name and password.

    Game Period means between 12:01am AEDT on 25 January 2013 and 11:59pm AEST on 11 September 2013.

    Permitted Purpose means you viewing and analysing the Assistant Coach Content and using any tools forming part of the Assistant Coach Content to assist you in playing the Game and making decisions regarding the Game, such as decisions regarding team line-up, player selection and player trading.

    Subscription Date means the date your application for subscription to the Assistant Coach Services is accepted by us.

    Subscription Pages means the pages on the Website required to be viewed and completed by you to submit an application to subscribe to the Assistant Coach Services.

    We, us, our, means Vapormedia Pty Limited ACN 140 989 368.

    Website means http://dreamteam.nrl.com


  • Assistant Coach Services
  • To be eligible to receive the Assistant Coach Services you must be a registered participant in the Game and you must complete and submit to us the subscription application located on the Subscription Pages. You acknowledge that we may reject any subscription application (in our sole discretion).

    If we accept your subscription application then (subject to these terms and conditions) we will provide the Assistant Coach Services to you. The Assistant Coach Services will comprise of making available to you via your Game Page, for the Permitted Purpose, the Assistant Coach Content. The Assistant Coach Content may include:

    1. player and team statistical information;
    2. player and team performance, prediction and analysis tools;
    3. news, analysis, match previews and other similar content; and
    4. team selection and trading tools;

  • Use of Assistant Coach Content
  • You may access and use the Assistant Coach Content for the Permitted Purpose and not for any other purpose. Without limiting the above, you must not:

    1. make copies, electronic or otherwise of the Assistant Coach Content for any other purpose;
    2. provide any of the Assistant Coach Content by electronic or other means to any person or otherwise communicate any of the Assistant Coach Content to others;
    3. distribute or display any Assistant Coach Content on any electronic network or otherwise, including (without limitation) the internet;
    4. alter or change any part of the Assistant Coach Content; or
    5. create any derivative works based on the Assistant Coach Content.

  • Duration
  • Unless provided otherwise in these terms and conditions, our obligations to provide the Assistant Coach Services commence on the Subscription Date and will expire upon the earlier of:

    1. the date your cancellation of your subscription pursuant to clause 10 is effective;
    2. the date us cancelling your subscription pursuant to clause 11 is effective; or
    3. the expiry of the Game Period.

  • Free Trials
  • From time to time we may offer free trials of the Assistant Coach Services. If you subscribe for a free trial, we will make the Assistant Coach Services available to you during the free trial period (as specified in the Subscription Pages). Once the free trial period expires, we will cease providing the Assistant Coach Services to you and you will no longer be able to access the Assistant Coach Content (although you may continue to receive the Assistant Coach Services by becoming a paid subscriber).


  • Subscription fees and payment
  • The subscription fees payable by you for access to the Assistant Coach Services are set out in the Subscription Pages. Subject to the provisions below, you may subscribe for the Assistant Coach Services on a monthly or annual basis.


  • Monthly subscriptions
  • For monthly subscriptions, we will charge the monthly subscription fees (as specified in the Subscription Pages) to your credit card on the Subscription Date and on the same date of each subsequent month during the Game Period (unless you cancel your subscription pursuant to clause 10 or we cancel your subscription pursuant to clause 11), up to a maximum of $29.70.

    You acknowledge that you will not be entitled to any pro rata or other refund of the subscription fees if the period between the date of the last payment of a monthly subscription for a Game Period and the Game Expiry Date is less than one month. If any repeat payment of the monthly subscription fees is rejected by the issuer of your credit card or is otherwise not paid, we may (without prejudice to our other rights) suspend your access to the Assistant Coach Services until such time as the relevant subscription fees are paid by you in full.


  • Annual subscriptions
  • If you subscribe for an annual subscription, we will charge a one off subscription fee (as specified in the Subscription Pages) to your credit card on the Subscription Date, which will entitle you to receive the Assistant Coach Services for the entire period between the Subscription Date and the Game Expiry Date.

    Annual subscriptions may only be available for limited period of time during the Game Period (as specified in the Subscription Pages).


  • Cancellation by you and refunds
  • If you are a monthly subscriber, you may cancel your subscription by completing and submitting to us the cancellation form located at http://dreamteam.nrl.com/my_account/subscriptions

    If you send us a cancellation form, the cancellation of your monthly subscription will be effective on and from the date the next payment of subscription fees would have been charged to your credit card but for the cancelation (Cancellation Effective Date). For the avoidance of doubt, during the period between the date you submit the cancellation form to us and the Cancellation Effective Date, we will continue to provide the Assistant Coach Services to you and you will not be entitled to any refund of subscription fees for this period.

    If you are an annaul subscriber, you may cancel your subscription by completing and submitting to us the cancellation form located at http://dreamteam.nrl.com/my_account/subscriptions, however you may only cancel your gold subscription during the cancellation period specified in the Subscription Pages. If you cancel your annual subscription during this cancellation period, we may immediately cancel your access to the Assistant Coach Services. Within 10 business days of receiving the notice of cancellation we will refund to you the pro rata balance of the annual subscription fees paid by you.

    You acknowledge that you may not cancel an annual subscription once the cancellation period specified in the Subscription Pages has expired.


  • Cancellation by us
  • We may cancel the provision of the Assistant Coach Services effective immediately upon us providing written notice of cancelation to you if:

    1. you cease to be a registered participant in the Game due to a breach of the Game rules or terms and conditions by you;
    2. you breach any material provision of these terms and conditions; or
    3. the Game is cancelled or otherwise ceases to operate.

    If we cancel the provision of the Assistant Coach Services pursuant to clauses 11(a) or (b) we will not have any obligation to refund subscription fees paid by you. If we cancel the provision of the Assistant Coach Services pursuant to clause 11(c), we must refund to you all subscription fees paid by you in respect of the Assistant Coach Services.


  • Credit card details
  • Any credit card, debit card or other similar details you provide to us will be stored and used by us for the purpose of processing your payments of the subscription fees. You acknowledge that we may provide your credit card, debit card and other similar details to Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited or any other party we appoint to process credit card payments for us. We will use our best endeavours to keep such details secure.


  • Intellectual property
  • You acknowledge that you obtain no intellectual property rights, ownership or other rights in respect of the Assistant Coach Content (apart from the limited right of use granted under clause 4).


  • Commissions
  • You acknowledge that we may pay commissions or share amounts of your subscription fees with third parties including (without limitation) the promoters or sponsors of the Game.


  • Consumer guarantees
  • Under the ACL, a number of consumer guarantees apply in respect of the Assistant Coach Services, being guarantees regarding:

    1. the Assistant Coach Services being rendered with due care and skill;
    2. the Assistant Coach Services being fit for the known purpose for which the Assistant Coach Services are being acquired (such as the Permitted Purpose), being fit for any disclosed purpose (such as the Permitted Purpose) or being capable of achieving any disclosed result; and
    3. the Assistant Coach Services being supplied within a reasonable time.

    Nothing in these terms and conditions (including, without limitation, clauses 16 or 17) should be interpreted as attempting to exclude, restrict or modify the application of any applicable provisions of the ACL, any liability of us for failing to comply with these provisions of the ACL or the right of you to make a claim in respect of these guarantees or under any other provision of the ACL.


  • Other guarantees and warranties
  • You acknowledge that:

    1. as the Assistant Coach Services are information and analysis services that largely relate to the attempted prediction of future events or performances we do not provide any guarantees or warranties that:
      1. the Assistant Coach Content will be entirely accurate, reliable or fit for any particular purpose (other than the Permitted Purpose); or
      2. any scores, results, performances or other similar events applicable to the Game predicted as a result of your use of the Assistant Coach Content will occur or that any such predictions will be accurate; and
    2. as the Assistant Coach Services and Assistant Coach Content are provided using the internet, we do not provide any warranties or guarantees that:
      1. your access to the Assistant Coach Services will be free of outages, interruptions or other similar issues; or
      2. the Assistant Coach Services and Assistant Coach Content will be compatible with any internet browser, other computer software, computer hardware or other technology;

      except and only to the extent that the above guarantees or warranties are inconsistent with any applicable consumer guarantees under the ACL

    You warrant and represent to us that:

    1. all information submitted by you to us (including the information in your application for subscription) is complete, true and accurate; and
    2. any credit card or debit card details you provide to us are in respect of a card issued to you or that you are authorised to charge the subscription fees to.

  • Liability

    To the fullest extent permitted by law and subject to clause 15, we do not accept liability for any loss (however arising) suffered by you as a result of your use of the Assistant Coach Services. Notwithstanding the above, if we are liable for any such loss suffered by you, our maximum aggregate liability (whether arising in contract, tort, for breach of statute or otherwise) arising out of or in connection with the provision of the Assistant Coach Services will not exceed an amount equivalent to three times the total subscription fees paid by you for the Assistant Coach Services.

    For the avoidance of doubt, this clause 17 does not apply to any claim or loss suffered by you as a result of a breach by us of the consumer guarantee provisions of the ACL.


  • Privacy
  • We collect certain personal information (as defined in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)) from you, which you give to us when subscribing for or receiving the Assistant Coach Services. We may use such personal information to enable us to provide the Assistant Coach Services to you, to keep in touch with you and to provide information to you about other products or services you might be interested in (unless you tell us in writing that you do not want this information). In handling your personal information, we will comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the National Privacy Principles.

    We will only disclose personal information about you to a third party when necessary under these circumstances:

    1. when you authorise us to;
    2. when we are required to by law;
    3. when we want to obtain a credit reference check;
    4. when necessary to do so to process your payments of the subscription fees;
    5. when we believe a service we or a related company offers may be of interest to you;
    6. when we ask someone to recover money from you if you have not paid us by the due date for payment; or
    7. when you make a complaint about us.

  • GST
  • If a supply under these terms and conditions is a taxable supply, the recipient of the taxable supply must pay an Additional Amount (defined below) to the supplier, at the same time and in the same manner as the relevant payment is due and payable, subject to the recipient receiving a valid tax invoice in respect of the supply at or before the time that the relevant payment is due and payable. If the Additional Amount differs from the GST payable by the supplier, the parties must do all things necessary to adjust the Additional Amount, so that the Additional Amount is the same as the GST payable by the supplier and ensure that the relevant party issues an adjustment note.


  • Force Majure
  • We will not be liable for any delay or failure to perform any obligation under these terms and conditions insofar as the performance of such obligation is prevented by an event beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to, earthquake, fire, flood or any other natural disaster, labor dispute, riot, revolution, terrorism, acts of restraint of government or regulatory authorities, failure of computer equipment, ongoing internet or telecommunications outage or failure or delay of sources from which data relevant to the Assistant Coach Services is obtained.


  • General Provisions
  • These terms and conditions constitute the entire understanding between us and you in relation to the Assistant Coach Services and supersede all previous agreements and understandings. These terms and conditions may only be varied by written agreement between the parties. Failure at any time to enforce any of these terms and conditions or to require performance will not be construed as a waiver of such provision or affect the right of either party to enforce the same. If any provision of these terms and conditions is held to be invalid or unenforceable by any tribunal of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions will not be affected and will be carried out as closely as possible according to the original intent. These terms and conditions will be governed by the laws in force in the State of Victoria, Australia, and each party agrees that the courts of the State of Victoria will have non-exclusive jurisdiction to deal with any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms and conditions.
